TGS Parents

At The Greene School, we are bringing social media to the classroom using a new online platform called Edmodo. Edmodo provides teachers and students a secure place to connect and collaborate, share content and educational applications, and access homework, grades, class discussions and notifications. Our goal is to help educators harness the power of social media to customize the classroom for each and every learner. Edmodo promotes anytime, anyplace learning. Functionally, it allows teachers to post messages, discuss classroom topics, assign and grade classwork, share content and materials, and network and exchange ideas with their peers - but in reality, it is so much more. Take a peek at some of the unique ways teachers are using Edmodo to make their classroom a community.

Learn More about Edmodo and how it is transforming the student experience here: http://about.edmodo.com/.

To support students and their use of Edmodo, we have created a few video tutorials to walk them through how to access information via Edmodo. Please click on the provided links to view the tutorials. If you have any questions, please ask your student and/or his/her teacher.  Your child can provide you with the codes you will need to set up your own account and know what is happening in their classes, with assignments, etc.  Ask your child to share this information with you.
