“I wanted to let you all know about some exciting opportunities that are coming up for our seniors. The Greene School has begun to schedule college representatives to come to our campus to meet with our seniors. Most of the representatives that will be presenting to our students will be the admissions person who will be reviewing and deciding upon our students' admission status! Therefore, this is a great way for our students to make a significant impression on these admissions officers!!!
I have sent information to the senior crew leaders regarding the two schools who are coming on our campus during September; Elms College and Bryant University. To date, the institutions that are coming to The Greene School in October include Unity College, the University of British Columbia, Providence College, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, Hobart & William Smith College, Newbury College, Plymouth State and Stonehill College. We also have several more schools in the wings such as URI and Johnson & Wales University who are currently scheduling their visits.
Students will be instructed to sign up for the college visits in guidance and will be issued a pass to attend. Students are responsible for all work that they miss in their class if they attend a college presentation. Students should check with their teachers prior to the presentation to find out if it is feasible to miss a portion of class. I anticipate that the college presentations will be about 30 minutes in length. Please come see me if you have any questions." Ms. Fontes
